How many assignments will I get?
- We cannot guarantee you a specific number of assignments. The higher your standard of work and the more reliable you are, the more assignments you will get.
- How much will I earn as a mystery shopper?
- This depends on the type of task you are assigned to. Some are short and simple, while others are more difficult. You can earn from EUR 10 +/- to EUR 50 // £ 10 to £ 40 per task. Normally, being a mystery shopper gives you some additional money but it is not a fulltime job.
- Will I have to travel?
- Tasks will normally be carried out in your surrounding area. You will have to get to the location of the assignment (via car or public transport) but rarely is real travelling involved.
- Will I have to accept all jobs?
- No. But if you accept a job, you have to complete it.
- Will I be treated as a freelancer?
- Yes. You will not be employed.
- How does the commissioning and order execution work?
- Normally, you apply for existing orders via our system. You receive the acceptance by e-mail. Sometimes you are also on “replacement”, which means that the test either cannot yet be carried out or someone else has already been assigned the test. With the assignment mail, you have the assignment and independently start the implementation according to the task description. It is important to adhere to the time limits and specifications. With the completion of the online questionnaire and the delivery of possible requested documents, you have basically done your job. However, there may still be follow-up questions and your result will in any case be checked by us and also by the client. Therefore, it is important to work carefully.
- How does the payment process work?
- After you have taken your test and uploaded the results, they are first checked by our quality management. If necessary, you will then receive queries or, in the case of missing documents, additional demands. If, in our opinion, the test was carried out correctly, you will receive an e-mail to submit an invoice or an expense allowance through our system (we can only process payments that way). Afterwards, the results are usually handed over to the commissioning customer, who also checks and accepts them and has a complaint period for this. This usually takes place at the end of the project; projects run between 2 weeks and 2 months. In the case of longer projects, interim acceptances take place. Once this inspection has been carried out by the client and no complaints have been made, the invoices are released for payment, which is then made once a week. It is normal that you will not receive payment until 2 months after the test has been carried out. If you have expenses on site that we reimburse you for, we will try to speed up the payment in any case.
Which prerequisites do I need to be a mystery shopper?
- You need to be attentive and be able to assess situations objectively. If we need your subjective opinion, we will ask it. Otherwise, you need to assess and comment objectively. In addition, you need to be flexible. You also need a good command of the task language, which is either English or the local language. For some tasks specific knowledge is necessary (as is the case for assessing hotels).
